It’s hard to get any solid information on the next generation of consoles - we know they’re coming, and we know the Sony and Microsoft are in the research phases of production, but not much more has been revealed.
This hasn’t stopped developers from hiring staff to work on games that will emerge in the era of PlayStation 6 and whatever the next Xbox will be called.
Studios will already be hard at work on games coming to the next slate of consoles, and it seems that Cloud Imperium Games, developers of Star Citizen, are eyeing the PlayStation 6 for a big RPG.

This news comes via a job listing, which states that CIG is looking to hire folks to join the Manchester and Frankfurt studios.
The listing shows the studio is hoping to hire Cinematic Animators with experience on current and “next-gen” systems, and the role will focus on creating immersive narratives and performances for Squadron 42.
The job description says that successful hires will be “bringing to life the performances of some of the best actors in the industry and tying them into the Squadron 42 narrative. You'll be developing scenes with multiple branching options, deep and emotional narrative, and exciting action.”
Squadron 42 is set to be a single player experience set within the Star Citizen universe, and it seems that, despite the studio head once saying he didn’t care for consoles, the game will be coming to the next generation of hardware.

Star Citizen is perhaps most well-known for its incredibly expensive development that has garnered financial support from fans over the years and still hasn't reached a full release, though this is unlikely this will happen with the follow-up.
Also known for gorgeous visuals, steep learning curve, and branching plot, we’re sure to see more of this on the PlayStation 6.
