Marvel’s Wolverine got a stunning new gameplay reveal at the most recent State of Play, and with that, pre-orders have now officially gone live.

Developed by Insomniac Games, the studio that not only gave us the likes of the Ratchet & Clank series but also Marvel’s Spider-Man, is treating us to yet another comic book adaptation with Marvel’s Wolverine later this year.

The new seven-minute gameplay reveal from the State of Play event was as stunning as it was brutal, with Logan slicing and dicing any silly foe that dared get in his way of investigating the whereabouts of a certain red-haired lady.

Here’s What Versions of Marvel’s Wolverine You Can Pre-Order Now!

Following that gruesome gameplay goodness, Insomniac Games announced that pre-orders for Marvel’s Wolverine are officially live, both for the physical disc at retail and via the PlayStation Store. Sadly, however, there is some bad news ahead.

Marvel’s Wolverine Standard Edition and Pre-Order Bonus

The standard edition of Marvel’s Wolverine can be pre-ordered on the PlayStation Store and at retail. Those who pre-order via the PlayStation Store will get the following bonuses:

  • Early access to the Classic Brown Suit
  • Early access to the Reflective Claws
  • One additional Technique Point (for upgrading abilities)
  • Four PlayStation Avatars

From what I can tell after scouring some online retailers, it seems that this pre-order bonus is exclusive to the PlayStation Store; however, there is a way that you can still claim it, but more on that later.

It’s also worth noting that much of the pre-order bonus content is “early access”. So, even if you don’t pre-order it, you’ll still get much of the content anyway. You’ll just miss out on some profile avatars that you may or may not use.

The standard edition of Marvel’s Wolverine will have an RRP of £69.99/$69.99. It looks like the conversion rate makes it more expensive in the UK. So, if you create a US account and purchase the game that way, it will only cost you around £52. The same process can be applied to the Digital Deluxe Edition.

Marvel’s Wolverine Digital Deluxe Edition

The Marvel’s Wolverine Digital Deluxe Edition will include the following content:

  • A copy of Marvel’s Wolverine
  • Five exclusive suits: Incredible, Savage, Age of Apocalypse, Night Hunt and New Leather.
  • Five exclusive claws: Smooth-Edged Claws, Hollow Blade Claws, Thick Claws, Serrated Spine Claws and Tapered Claws.
  • Three additional Technique Points.
  • Pre-Order Bonus Content

The Marvel’s Wolverine Digital Deluxe Edition will be available exclusively via the PlayStation Store and has an RRP of £79.99/$79.99. For UK gamers, it will cost just £60 if you purchase via a US account.

Will there be a physical Marvel’s Wolverine Deluxe Edition?

Sadly not. Insomniac Games has confirmed this when responding to fans on social media. However, you can buy the physical standard edition and purchase the £10/$10 Digital Deluxe Upgrade on the PlayStation Store, which will also include the pre-order bonuses.

Will there be a Marvel’s Wolverine Collector’s Edition?

Again, sadly not. Insomniac Games has also confirmed that there will be no physical Collector’s Edition, which is a shame, because the two Marvel’s Spider-Man Collector Editions are amazing. It also ends a common trend with collector editions being available for major PlayStation 5 exclusives, including most recently, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei.

All digital versions of Marvel’s Wolverine can be pre-ordered now via the PlayStation Store.

Marvel’s Wolverine will be released on 15 September 2026, exclusively for PlayStation 5. It's also worth mentioning that if you pre-order via the PlayStation Store, you save 10% off the RRP.
