We haven’t had a chance to play a new Halo adventure since 2021, but Microsoft is officially reviving the series, and it’s even coming to PlayStation 5.
Halo: Infinite was our last big Halo game, and despite many positive reviews and awards, it feels like the series has been put on ice for a few years now.
At least, that’s the case when it comes to new video games in the franchise. I’m kinda hoping we get an Infinite sequel soon, but it sounds like that won’t be the case for a while.
However, Halo fans are getting something else in the meantime. The series is finally having an official return, and it’ll also be making its PlayStation debut via a new crossover with Helldivers 2.

As announced earlier this week, the new Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST Legendary Warbond releasing on 26th August features new weapons, armours, capes, vehicle skins, and armour passives inspired by Xbox’s flagship series.
The new warbond adds four weapons, the MA5C Assault Rifle, M90A Shotgun, and M7S SMG as primary weapons, and the M6C/SOCOM Pistol as a secondary.

It also comes with two ODST-inspired armour sets and vehicle skins, and a Feet First passive that is all about quiet movement and rangefinding.
As with every other warbond, you can also find new player banners, capes, and titles available to grab as well.
Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST lands on 26th August, however you should be aware that it will cost 1500 Super Credits as opposed to the usual 1000. This is because it’s a Legendary Warbond, so it has a little bit more than your bog standard warbond.
Sony likely also wants to cover the additional costs with licensing all the Halo content, so that’s probably the real reason behind the price hike.

Helldivers 2 x Halo: ODST will be available on PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on the same day the game launches on the latter.
