The exact time you’ll be able to download Grand Theft Auto VI just randomly popped up on the PlayStation Store, which seems ultra specific considering how long away it is.
Are you so obsessed with following the release of Grand Theft Auto VI that you simply have to know the precise time it will drop? Well, great news for you if so, because it seems Rockstar Games has revealed the exact time of day it’ll be available to Sony.
That’s because, as spotted by one user over on the r/GTA6 subreddit, the PlayStation Store page for Grand Theft Auto VI has seemingly updated… and we can now see the time it’ll be available to download, if you simply must know ten months in advance.
Don’t worry, folks, this isn’t the lead up to news of a delay. In fact, it could be news of the opposite, depending on your region, because the page now reads that Grand Theft Auto VI will drop at 6 pm Eastern Daylight Time… or does it?

Now, to clarify, the date of release hasn’t changed; that’s still May 26, 2026. Ignore the fact that the post in question actually states that the game is now supposedly coming out on May 25, because there’s actually something a little funkier going on here.
“This is wrong, OP is most likely just looking at a different storefront”, commented user Tomrodders.
“If I look at the New Zealand ps store, it will say 25th at 1PM BST and if I look at the UK store, it will say 26th at midnight.”
So, basically, the game should still be coming out at midnight, regardless of where you actually are. Still, it’s weird that the PlayStation Store has updated with a time (when it seems that one wasn’t there previously).

Maybe Sony is just enjoying screwing with us.
