Following the conclusion of the brilliant God of War Ragnarök in 2022, fans have been wondering what’s next for Kratos and Atreus.

In recent months there has been speculation that God of War Ragnarök is getting DLC or perhaps further down the line, a sequel to the critically acclaimed game from Santa Monica Studios, which might be arriving sooner than expected.

Check out the God of War Ragnarök gameplay trailer below!

Whatever the future may hold for the God of War series, fans are eager to see what’s next. So while we wait, a passionate fan has given us a taste of what may lie ahead for Kratos, with a fantastic concept trailer for God of War 6 that takes us to ancient Egypt. I mean at this point, Kratos has slain the Greek and Norse Gods, so he might as well move on to Egyptian mythology at some point, right?

The concept trailer in question has been uploaded to the YouTube channel ‘Unreal Concepts’ and cleverly blends cinematic trailers for Assassin’s Creed Origins and Total War: Pharaoh.

Personally, while I would love nothing more than to see what Kratos and Atreus get up to after God of War Ragnarök, a visit to ancient Egypt is an exciting prospect nonetheless. Well, it’s that or perhaps a full remake of the original God of War game that started it all in 2005 for the PlayStation 2.

In our review of God of War Ragnarök, we said it’s: “a fantastically impressive sequel that delivers in every conceivable way. It expands on and improves the formula established in 2018’s God of War hugely, offering up blistering action, gut-wrenching twists, and truly cinematic boss battles with real emotional heft behind them. This is a high-stakes, high-fantasy rollercoaster from start to finish, and an instant PlayStation classic.”

God of War Ragnarök is out now on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
