February saw the PlayStation Network have one of its longest outages in recent years but despite Sony claiming it would make it up to users, it seems as though some people are yet to receive compensation.

Lasting for nearly a full day, the February 2025 PlayStation Network outage meant that millions of PlayStation users across the world could not access any online games, and even some single-player games, for multiple hours.

However, in response to the unexplained outage, Sony revealed that it would be handing out an automatic five-day extension to any PlayStation Plus memberships as an apology.

The announcement came without an exact date for the extensions and although some users reported receiving the five extra days, some are still waiting.

That being said, it has been revealed that Sony will be handing out the PS Plus extensions in batches and with the first batch going out at the start of March, it would make sense that not every user would have been compensated as of yet.

However, that has not stopped some from taking to r/PlayStationPlus to inquire about it.

“Curious, has anyone got any update on this?” user Wolfgard556 asked just yesterday. “Because I still haven't received my five free days.”

However, Wolfgard556 came back with an update, reading: “Just spoke to support. Apparently, it's rolling out, but it's slow. They said everyone affected would eventually receive it.”

Problem solved but luckily, there is a way to check if you have received your five extra days.

Simply head to the console’s Settings menu, then select Users and Accounts > Account > Payment and Subscriptions > Subscriptions.

Once here, you will be able to verify your PS Plus renewal date and providing you know when it would usually end, you can see if the five extra days have been added.

If not, it is worth waiting a bit longer until all of the rollouts have been confirmed.
