The rumours were correct, Days Gone Remastered is on the way, and it’s coming soon.

During Sony’s State of Play, the game was finally announced after many months of PlayStation speculation, leaks, and rumours.

Days Gone is being fully remastered and releasing in April

Days Gone has become a somewhat cult favourite, despite releasing to middling and only warm reviews.

Fans have been holding the game up as one of PlayStation’s finest action-adventure games, with leagues of undead swarming the player character of Deacon.

The updated version of the game will completely remaster everything from the original release, and launch for PlayStation 5, meaning all those large crowds will look better than ever.

The remastered version of Days Gone will be out later this year, on 25 April, in fact.

So, you'll be able to saddle up on your motorcycle and tour across the apocalyptic lands, littered with the raging monsters desperate to tear you to pieces.

Excitement will be high for this, as fans have been constantly asking for a remaster for such a long time, and as each week passed, it felt like it would never happen.

I've personally never played the original, so this will mark a perfect time to jump in and experience what everyone has been chatting about for months.

We've heard, from Sony, that it will be improved with a permadeath mode, speedrun options, and it's geared up to take advantage of PS5 Pro.

It will even feature PSVR 2 support for those with a virtual reality headset stashed under their TV, giving you yet another way to play.

With VR support, it will make the remaster feel like a brand-new game, with an all-new way to travel the country, fighting off dangers.

More will likely be announced during the year, perhaps at another State of Play. For now, you can look forward to the game coming very soon.
