The PlayStation 5 is getting yet another remaster, though this time it’s for a game that actually deserves one.

So far the PlayStation 5 library has consisted of some banging exclusives, but also too many remasters of games that really didn’t need a touch-up anytime soon, like both The Last Of Us games, Marvel’s Spider-Man and potentially Horizon: Zero Dawn.

Give it a few months and there’ll probably be PS5 Pro remaster of Astro Bot…

There’s currently no confirmation that Horizon: Zero Dawn is getting a PS5 remaster, though it’s speculated one exists.

Additionally it’s now being said that Days Gone is another remaster Sony has in the works, and the official reveal will take place during the next State Of Play event.

The remaster has apparently been confirmed by Jeff Grubb, and will more than likely be a minor upgrade to the base version, which is already boosted on the PS5.

Many believe this to be a game well-worth going back to, as several DLC challenges were added post-launch that were missed by players who jumped ship early.

For those who haven’t played Days Gone, it’s a zombie-survival game that can be best described as Sons Of Anarchy meets Left 4 Dead/World War Z.

Zombies in the game move in massive hordes that stop for nothing, and while it didn’t score favourably with initial reviews many players loved it and hoped for a sequel that unfortunately never came.

The game’s main character Deacon also appeared in Astro Bot, which the character’s creator was woefully annoyed about for some reason.

While it didn’t have the most success the first time around, perhaps a true remaster and a bit of bonus content is just what it needs to get a new lease on life.

If the remaster is real and announced during the next State Of Play, depending on its success we could finally get that sequel the series deserves so much, fingers-crossed it happens.
