Trophy hunters beware, because next week will be your last chance to grab this rare PlayStation Platinum Trophy.

Last year, Electronic Arts announced that it would be taking Anthem offline for good in early 2026, with the final date of service revealed to be 12 January, 2026.

Originally released in 2019, Anthem is an online RPG developed by BioWare where players take on the role of a “Freelancer”, essentially mercenaries who wear powerful exosuits and take on jobs to protect humanity from outside threats.

While the game received mixed reviews at launch and lukewarm acceptance from players, the game did manage to cultivate a small community around it, allowing it to stick around for almost seven years post-launch.

A rework was announced in 2020, essentially bringing Anthem more in line with what people expected of the game with new content, updates, and improvements with the aim of bringing players back.

Anthem Will Be Shut Down On 12 January 2026

However, this planned rework was cancelled in 2021, with the closure of the game and its servers announced last July. Since all the content in Anthem relies on connecting to the servers, the game will effectively be unplayable once the shutdown begins.

As such, this means all achievements and trophies for the PS4 game will be unobtainable after 12 January, 2026, including the rare Platinum Trophy.

According to PSN Profiles, Anthem’s Platinum Trophy, titled Grandmaster, currently has 11,276 achievers. Around 6.71% of players have all trophies in the game unlocked, indicating that it’s “Very Rare”.

Anthem has 47 trophies in total, with an estimated difficulty of around 3/10. However, despite the rather easy difficulty, be aware that the total time to platinum the game could take you up to 70 hours in total.

This is largely down to some grinding required to grab some of the more time-consuming trophies, such as discovering all locations for the Explorer trophies, or completing tasks that hit the various Loyalty trophies.

So if you’re keen to grab this platinum before the servers go offline, you’ll have to do some pretty major grinding over the weekend in order to hit the 100% completion. I’d recommend getting started now before you run out of time.

Once that date is over, Anthem's Platinum Trophy joins the likes of Concord, Mad Max, and Far Cry 4 in games that have unobtainable Platinum trophies due to the servers being shut down.
