The PlayStation Store has revealed another nine games departing from PlayStation Plus next month, giving you one last chance to play these titles.

PlayStation Plus is great for finding new games to play. With a subscription to PS Plus Extra or Premium, you’ll have access to hundreds of games at your fingertips.

But as new games consistently get added to PlayStation Plus, several also need to be removed from the service due to expiring licences or deals. And sadly, that means a few more will be gone come December.

As revealed by the Last Chance To Play section on PlayStation Plus, the following games will be removed from PlayStation Plus Extra on 16 December.

  • Forspoken (PS5)
  • Battlefield 2042 (PS5 / PS4)
  • Grand Theft Auto III (PS5 / PS4)
  • Sonic Frontiers (PS5 / PS4)
  • Surviving Mars (PS4)
  • Star Trek: Bridge Crew (PS4 / PSVR)
  • Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge (PS VR2)
  • Firefighting Simulator: The Squad (PS5 / PS4)
  • Arcade Paradise VR (PS VR2)

It should be noted that this has only appeared on the Japanese PlayStation Store for now, but should be updated for the other regions very soon.

So, you have until 16 December to play any of these games, in case you were interested in checking them out.

There's still time to check these games out

“Forspoken was a lot better than I expected it to be,” writes one user on the PlayStation Plus Reddit page

“Yeah, dialogue and stuff is cringey, characters can become a tad annoying (there are settings though if i recall) but I actually thoroughly enjoyed it!

“The layout and theme of the game if you look past the flaws, the story had potential.

"I got the plat earlier this year, even bought the DLC because i enjoyed it so much. Wasn't expecting to enjoy it, but i got it cheap (i had no idea it was on ps plus tbh) and it was worth the $20 i paid.”

“I tried Sonic Frontiers because of PS Plus, and I'm glad I did,” wrote another user.

“Game wasn't phenomenal but it out my eyes back on Sonic again after forgetting about from since like 2017 I think. Lowkey the best 7/10 I've ever played.”

As for what games will actually arrive on PlayStation Plus in December, Sony will do an official announcement closer to the date. However, we already know that Rockstar Games will be bringing Red Dead Redemption to PS Plus Extra beginning on 2nd December.
