The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim remains, to this day, well supported by its hardworking modding community; a godsend, honestly.
How else would we all cope whilst we endure the long and arduous wait for The Elder Scrolls VI?
There’s a Skyrim mod for pretty much everything, regardless of whether it’s new quests, locations, or gameplay features that you seek.
Easily, however, the most exciting mod on the horizon is the enormous ‘Skyblivion’.

It’s essentially a total conversion mod with the TESRenewal group seeking to remake the entirety of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion within Skyrim’s Creation Engine.
It’s a hugely ambitious project that’s been in the works for many, many years - and it’s easy to understand why.
‘Skyblivion’ aims to faithfully remake all of Oblivion’s quests, items, locations, and characters, rebuilding Cyrodiil from the ground up.
The mod is due to be totally free as a nice little bonus; you simply need to be a PC player with access to both Skyrim: Special Edition and Oblivion (including all DLCs) in order to get involved when the time comes.

After 13 long years in development, ‘Skyblivion’ is finally aiming to launch this year, although an exact release date is yet to be provided.
In the meantime, devs have now dropped a brand-new trailer showcasing the first 15 minutes of the remake mod - and it’s so good that I can’t quite believe it’s real.
You can view the extended look below.
Needless to say, this updated reveal has sent The Elder Scrolls fans into a frenzy as it’s not as if Bethesda has been keeping us particularly well fed as of late.

“I’ve seen this moment in my dreams,” one viewer wrote.
“Talos forgive me for I’m about to disappear three months straight when this is out,” added another.
“Ooh, this is getting me all giddy, I’m starting to feel like Cicero,” read one comment.
And to those asking why ‘Skyblivion’ is so exciting when an official Oblivion remaster recently landed, just watch the new gameplay trailer; you’ll soon get it.
