Red Dead Redemption 2 players can now give Arthur Morgan a place to hang his hat and holster, with a brand new house mod.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is still considered to be Rockstar’s best game ever, at least until Grand Theft Auto VI comes rolling around. That being said it’s also one of the saddest, with an ending that’s been hailed as an “absolute masterpiece” by fans.

The game’s story alone has cemented Arthur Morgan as one of the greatest protagonists in all of gaming, with many wishing they could alter his fate.

While we can’t save Arthur, we can at least make his life a little bit better, with a new mod that gives him a beautiful house and garden to stay in throughout the course of the game. The Arthur Safe House mod, created by Tainaandrei1, does exactly what it says on the tin, gives Arthur a new safe house to return to after a busy day of shooting people and stealing stuff.

It comes equipped with a bed to sleep in, a cooking pot and a lovely garden to relax in after a long day, everything you need to give Arthur a proper home away from Dutch’s camp. There are also plenty of furnishings inside and out to give it a cosy home feeling, which is a nice touch.

The mod creator has said they plan to update the mod as time goes on, adding new objects for the land, as well as animals and people to interact with once they’ve learned how to script the AI.

The world of Red Dead Redemption 2 is full of dangers, like criminal outlaws, local wildlife and much much more, so its nice to have somewhere to retreat to where no one is going to bother you, making it well worth a download, especially if you’re looking for more immersion.

In other news, a remake of the original Red Dead Redemption is supposedly on the way, with new evidence suggesting it’ll be arriving sooner than you’d think.

The Arthur Safe House mod can be downloaded via NexusMods, exclusively for PC players.
