Reddit users say that Red Dead Redemption 2’s beloved Arthur Morgan is one of the greatest video game protagonists of all time, which is a statement I’m sure the vast majority of gamers can agree with, because our boah really is that good.
Red Dead Redemption 2 has continued to captivate fans for almost five years now. Rockstar Games seriously went all out designing a gorgeous open world for us to get lost in, which is so packed with small details, that fans keep making new discoveries to this day. It’s not just the world exploration that’s kept everyone hooked, though - Red Dead Redemption 2 has a fantastic story at its core, and obviously, its protagonist Arthur Morgan plays a big part in that (you’ll find no spoilers here, don’t worry).

Over on Reddit, fans have been discussing where they’d place Arthur in the ranking of greatest video game protagonists, and everyone’s in agreement that he’s up there with the best of the best. Hell yeah, boah.
“I grew up with Kratos on the PSP so he’s my pick for number one, but I freaking love Arthur man. He’s either number two or number three behind Joel, but no one brings me ‘comfort’ like Arthur. He feels like a real person with an adaptive personality and unique morals,” lucasfordo wrote. “Even after my fourth time playing the game, I just connect with him in a way that I just haven't with any other character.
