As is Rockstar’s speciality, Red Dead Redemption 2 is already pretty realistic but when it comes to one element of gameplay, players have been getting it easy for way too long.
Luckily, this major overhaul aims to change that.

It may be quickly approaching a decade since Red Dead Redemption 2 was first released but thanks to its dedicated modding community, the Rockstar title is as alive as ever.

That is why this brand-new mod by creator Rededrunk is perfect for those who want to dive into RDR2 and make the stakes a whole lot higher.
In the vanilla Red Dead Redemption 2, getting a bounty on your head has no real consequences. Sure, you will have a price on you but you hardly feel like you are being hunted down for it.
Now thanks to the Rededrunk’s Hunted mod, this will all change as this overhaul to the bounty system will make it more engaging, dynamic, and impactful.
With this mod installed, getting a bounty on your head will be scary indeed as you can be tracked across the map and if you are caught, arrests will be a lot more impactful.

“In vanilla, carrying a bounty doesn’t feel like it means much—you can stroll into town with $300 on your head (over $11,000 in 1899 money) and face little to no consequence,” the mod description reads.
“Towns are safe havens that restrict bounty hunters from going after you. They patiently wait and only show up after you’ve had some restful sleep out in the wilderness.”
However, Rededrunk’s Hunted will track you anywhere and everywhere (although the mod is disabled during quests) and you will either need to pay up or get ready to fight.
Additionally, if you are caught by lawmen, you could face the risk of having your weapons taken off you, meaning that getting arrested will actually carry some weight.

Rededrunk’s Hunted is free to download for those who own Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC and is the perfect way to make the vanilla game that little bit harder.
