Without a doubt, Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2, released in 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and the following year on PC, is one of the greatest video games of all time. This is backed up by its mighty score of 97 on the aggregate website, Metacritic. But it's been nearly a decade since it came out, so plenty of time for you to have perfected whipping out your pistols. If you're after a challenge, this new extreme difficulty mod might be just what you need.

This mod will require you to strictly maintain five core features for the protagonist, Arthur Morgan. Those are hunger, thirst, urination, equipment, weight and exhaustion.
If you do not keep Arthur’s hunger in check, his health and well-being will deteriorate. The same goes for maintaining his thirst, so make sure that Arthur does not dehydrate and make sure that he drinks from his canteen. Washing will also recharge his stamina bar, and you can refill your canteen by urinating in it, just in case you get especially desperate.
You’ll also have to make sure that Arthur doesn't get overencumbered with all the gear and weapons he’s carrying.
If he carries too much, his stamina, hunger and thirst will be negatively impacted.
Make sure that Arthur gets plenty of sleep; otherwise, he’ll suffer from exhaustion and deprivation. If not maintained, this too will negatively impact his stamina bar. As a result, he’ll become weak and may lose consciousness.
Also, be wary of environmental effects, whether it's hot or cold. Arthur will become more thirsty during hot weather or could freeze to death if it's too cold.
All in all, this seems like it's a totally new way to experience Red Dead Redemption 2 and helps to breathe new life into the eight-year-old game. Will you be playing it this weekend?
