Wandering around the halls and secret passages of Hogwarts is something many of us dreamed of as children.

However, being caught by a prefect was not always a part of that fantasy.

That being said, if you want to add a touch more realism to Hogwarts Legacy, this free download is the perfect way to do so.

Created by nathdev, Hogwarts Legacy: Night Curfew will introduce prefects who will do whatever it takes to make sure you are not wandering around the castle at night.

Introducing 24 new custom prefects to the game, the official synopsis reads as follows:

“Phineas Black had enough of you and instated a curfew inside the castle. Now prefects will try to catch you between the curfew hours.”

From the hours of midnight and 6am, prefects will now hunt you down if they suspect you have left the confines of your bedroom.

If you are caught, not only will you be sent back to your room but you will face a 100 knuts fine.

However, by keeping an eye on the curfew message and minimap, you may be able to stay out of their way and get on with your exploring.

Additionally, players can avoid the prefects by casting the Disillusionment spell or by casting a generic spell at the floor/wall to distract them altogether.

With the mod updated in recent months, players may now run into the occasional teacher and even more prefects have been added to the fray which will make a stealth mission a whole lot harder.

Night Curfew is the perfect way to add a touch more realism and excitement to Hogwarts Legacy and better yet, it is completely free to download right now for PC players.

It is just one of thousands of mods available for the Harry Potter-inspired RPG across websites such as Nexus Mods and CurseForge.
