Grand Theft Auto VI is still, as far as we’re aware, due to launch this year.

To date, Rockstar Games has stuck by its fall / autumn 2025 launch window.

That should see the game released in September, October, or November.

It’s perhaps worth remembering though that Rockstar Games is owned by Take-Two Interactive, and Take-Two has several other games on its release slate during that window.

Borderlands 4 is planned for 23 September, with NBA 2K26 expected to land earlier that month.

It’s for that reason that I think it’s far more likely that we’ll see GTA VI launch in either October or November.

It’s difficult to narrow down the game’s release beyond that, and I should stress that this will only be the console version of the game.

At the current time, GTA VI is only slated to launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Of course, it’s expected that it will launch on PC in time as every other Rockstar title has received a delayed PC launch.

Even still, fans are feeling slightly dejected that the PC release date wasn’t brought in line with the console release for such a monumental game like GTA VI.

GTA VI’s reveal trailer remains all that’s currently available.

It’s unknown when GTA VI will launch on PC but 2027 has been touted as a potential window.

You see, GTA V landed on console in 2013 followed by PC in 2015.

To give you slightly more hope though, Red Dead Redemption 2’s PC port followed just one year after its console release, so perhaps GTA VI’s PC version will land in 2026.

Either way, fans are likely in for a wait.

“This is so annoying. Why are PC folk having to wait till next year! It should be out at the same time as the consoles. I wanna play it but I don't want to play it on console,” wrote Reddit user ServiusTheBear.

“S**t, I gonna retire by then,” joked MrBruce001, at least I assume they’re joking.

Of course, as soon as a PC release update is issued, we’ll be here bringing you the latest.
