Any FromSoftware fan will know that magic is usually one of the most OP forms of weapon in any of the studio’s games.
It can completely break Dark Souls and in Elden Ring, it’s a powerful tool that can either be the crux of your build or a helpful buff. Unfortunately, it’s a faff to use.
Elden Ring is especially annoying for this because if there are specific spells and incantations you want you’ll need to make a pilgrimage to wherever they’re being kept. Then, once you have it all, you’ll be fighting with the game’s UI to properly use them in the heat of battle.
That all changes with this free, PC overhaul though. It’s a game-changer and a must-download for any mage.
The biggest pain when using magic in the Elden Ring is how you switch between spells. Rather than simply pick and choose what spell you want whenever you want it you need to scroll through your selection, which during a boss fight can be very distracting.

The RadialMenu mod by LorenzoFaith fixes that though, so you’ll no longer have to fight FromSoftware’s clunky equipment UI.
It’ll display your equipped spells and incantations in a selection wheel, like what you use in Grand Theft Auto V or Red Dead Redemption 2 when choosing your weapons.
All you need to do is hold the d-pad down and select whatever you need, rather than mash the button and hope you don’t accidentally go past what you wanted.
LorenzoFaith has said RadialMenu is compatible with other Elden Ring mods, too like Convergence and Reforged.
It’s a solid improvement though a couple of changes would make this mod even better.
For starters, a bit of transparency would go a long way. You’ll ideally be opening this selection wheel up in the heat of battle so it’d be good to have a better idea of what’s going on in front of you while you’re grabbing the next tool from your toolkit.
Alternatively, making the wheel ever so slightly smaller would also go a long way. Even better if it was off to the side of your display rather than slap bang in the middle of it.
These are minor changes that’d just make the mod a bit more convenient, whilst keeping the core idea the same.
Magic in the Elden Ring is a lot of fun and there are so many spells to choose from. With so many schools of magic to pursue, you can make hundreds of different build combinations. Even as a Strength player, the temptation to make my character a battle-mage is always strong, it’s just the swapping between spells that puts me off.
The RadialMenu mod enables you to keep track of what spells you’re using without breaking as much of your concentration during a fight, making it a must-download for any sorcerer.
