Elden Ring Reforged, the massive free overhaul for Elden Ring, has just received a new update, adding a new enemy.

Elden Ring sickos have spent years perfecting their skills at the game, being able to best any boss and conquer any area they enter.

For those who have pretty much accepted they’ve seen everything the game has to offer, free mods have now stepped in to bring even more content in front of players’ eyes.

One of the most popular mods to download for Elden Ring on Nexus Mods is Elden Ring Reforged, an overhaul which adds new enemies, spells, equipment, and entire systems to the game.

Version 2.2.8.0 of the mod launched today, adding a new enemy type into pools of Scarlet Rot. The enemy is called the Harvester of Rot and should pose a terrifying threat to players venturing into these areas.

“Elden Ring Reforged is an overhaul about giving the player a great variety of reasons to engage with the game world, imagine and realise a compelling character fantasy through balanced and powerful build choices, and refining Elden Ring's combat system with rich, impactful moment-to-moment decisions and a variety of tools at the player's disposal,” reads the mod description on Nexus Mods.

Elden Ring Reforged Features A Countless Number Of Big Changes To The Game's Flow

There are far too many changes to list all at once, but it’s essentially a brand new game for veterans to approach as if they were playing it for the first time.

Some weapons have been rebalanced to the point where many previously weak and underused strategies are now fun and competitive, and some of the more oppressive ones are put on equal ground.

This includes adding some new systems to the game, such as a Sekiro-style guard and deflect mechanic, which rewards good timing with a powerful advantage.

The mod also adds runeforging, a new progression system which allows you to create Binding Runes, a new item type which adds passive boosts when they’re held in your inventory.

If you want more permanent boosts, the Shadowed Curio system will do just that by rewarding you with new buffs that persist across your character when you find them in the Realm of Shadow.

For those who find the game a little too difficult or too easy, Elden Ring Reforged also includes multiple difficulty levels.

While Reforged difficulty is enabled by default, players can also access Casual Mode, Normal Mode, Adept Mode, Hard Mode, and Master Mode to tweak things to be easier or harder.

The mod adds a lot more content to the game, much more than I can list here, but if you’re curious about the full list of changes and additions, I’d recommend checking out the Elden Ring Reforged Wiki, which has all the information there.

Elden Ring Reforged can be downloaded now from Nexus Mods.
