Fallout 5 can wait, Fallout Miami looks like an absolute banger

When it comes to fan-made expansions, I think it’s pretty safe to say that the Fallout series has gotten the most love.

Sure Skyrim is probably in the running too, but recently it seems modders have been going all-in on the Fallout games.

Expansions that have already been released, like the Fallout: New Vegas mod New California and the Fallout 4 mod Fallout: London, are really only the tip of the iceberg.

Mods like Fallout: Cascadia, Fallout: Nuevo México, and Fallout 4: Capital Wasteland are already well into their development stages, which is handy because we’ll likely be waiting a while before Bethesda’s Fallout 5 sees the light of day.

ICYMI: We sat down with the cast of the Fallout TV show.

Well, luckily for us, another expansion-sized mod is on the way too - and the developers behind the project just released a brand new trailer for it.

Fallout: Miami is a “DLC-sized” mod for Fallout 4 from developers going by the name of Team Fallout Miami. The developers promise that the mod will be “complete with its own engrossing main quest, interesting side quests and characters, including new companions”.

They describe Miami as the “Vacation Wasteland” of the Fallout world, which is assumedly how all of the ghouls in the trailer managed to get such even, beautiful tans.

According to the press release on the official Fallout: Miami website, Miami was “once a popular tourist destination, attracting rich and glamorous visitors both foreign and domestic, it now plays host to an eclectic assortment of factions and societies, each with its own culture and approach to the challenges of this new post-nuclear world.”

There’s no current word on when Fallout: Miami is coming out, although the developer’s FAQ page does state that they “have a set date internally” but “don’t plan to share this information publicly yet”.

With that being said, I wouldn’t be surprised if we hear more from them soon considering how impressive some of the trailers for the mod look.
