Fallout 4 Looks Like Fallout 5 in Unreal Graphical Update

You'll need a hefty PC to handle this

Fallout 5 is about as far away from tangible as you can get.

Is it something that’ll eventually be announced and released? Yes, it’s very likely.

But the truth is that it’s just not something Bethesda is going to formally announce for a while.

The Elder Scrolls VI remains the studio’s key focus.

That title is still without even a release window or trailer beyond that cinematic reveal that dropped in 2018; I don’t think Bethesda will repeat the mistake of revealing a project too soon.

In the meantime then, we’re going to have to settle for what we’ve got, although there’s no harm in imagining what Fallout 5 might eventually look like.

You could argue that’s what YouTuber Digital Dreams has done with a recent remastering of Fallout 4.

Digital Dreams applied over 300 mods to the title, making it look like a crisp, shiny next-gen title.

You can take a look at the video for yourself below.

You can, as per usual, download both a mod list and a ReShade present from the video’s description that Digital Dreams has put together.

I’m going to warn you though, you’ll need a beast of a machine to emulate this overhaul.

The YouTuber made use of a Ryzen 9 7950x CPU and NVIDIA RTX 4090 CTU.

You’re probably looking at over $2,000 just for those two items alone.

Needless to say, this graphics overhaul has delighted fans with many heaping praise upon it.

“It’s so insanely crisp,” remarked one comment.

“This is hella dope,” added another.

There are plenty of simple mods you can download to extend the Fallout 4 experience that won’t demand much of your PC.

‘A StoryWealth’, for example, adds over 25 new quests, whilst ‘Transmission Zeta - with Wes Johnson’ is a brand new questline that brings back a returning voice actor of the base game.

If you’re a console player, then there are loads of Fallout-esque games out there you can try.

Atomfall is a firm favourite of several of us here at GAMINGbible; Stalker 2: Heart of Chernobyl also seems to be in a much better place after several patches.

In case you missed it, in our review of Atomfall, we said, “It’s one of the best games I’ve played this year for sure, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone who’s looking for a compelling, narrative adventure game. It’s not a British Fallout knock-off, it’s something much more than that and it has serious potential to become a series.”

It’s since released its first DLC Wicked Isle, with a second, The Red Strain, having launched earlier this week.

Or you could just mod Fallout 4 until your PC explores. You do you, my friend.
