Fallout 4 quietly overhauled in free download made by the fans

This is a very sneaky update

Fallout 4 fans have released a much-needed update for the popular post-apocalyptic RPG that drastically improves the game's animations.

The Fallout series is one of the most popular properties in the video game industry, long before Bethesda Softworks acquired the rights in 2004. For years, fans have been charmed by Fallout’s futuristic retro vibe, epic quests, interesting characters, and much more.

Check out the Fallout 4 trailer below!

“As the sole survivor of Vault 111, you enter a world destroyed by nuclear war. Every second is a fight for survival, and every choice is yours. Only you can rebuild and determine the fate of the Wasteland,” reads the synopsis of Fallout 4.

Not forgetting the multiplayer spin-off Fallout 76, the most recent mainline entry in the series is 2015’s Fallout 4 which was released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Speaking of which, earlier this year, Fallout 4 benefited from its long-awaited free new-gen update.

However, as good of a game as Fallout 4 is, as with any popular title, there’s always room for improvement and this is where the ever-committed modding community comes into play.

Available to download for free today via Nexusmods, the ‘Stealthy Takedowns’ mod created by bp42s and fellow team members, is inspired by CD Projekt RED’s Cyberpunk 2077.

“Sneak up on enemies while holding your weapon out for the option to take them down silently, without alerting unaware enemies,” reads the description of the mod. “Takedowns require that you are undetected by the targeted NPC and that you have the Mister Sandman perk at level 1+.”

From what I can tell, despite Fallout 4 mods being available on Xbox via the Creation Club, ‘Stealthy Takedowns’ seems to currently be a PC exclusive. Hopefully, that will change soon.

Fallout 4 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. It’s also included in Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Extra/Premium at no extra cost.
