Cyberpunk 2077 ‘Expansion’ Adds New Mode to Keep You Busy

Night City is in need of a new delivery driver

Cyberpunk 2077 is hardly short of things to do but if you have seen all that Night City has to offer, you might want to check out this fan expansion.

‘Dedra’s Truck Simulator’ may not sound like an enticing title on paper; I assure you, however, that this mod does look incredibly fun.

Created by NexusMods user dederara, it basically introduces a cargo hauling activity.

Players will be able to take V on delivery runs for R.A. Logistics.

This includes picking up your assigned truck, hauling the cargo across Night City to its destination, and then returning to base for payment.

If you just enjoy soaking up the energy of Night City, this is the perfect low stakes activity to just switch off at the end of a long day.

The only downside is that, for now, this mod only covers the Watson district but I’d imagine the modder is busy expanding it, or at least I hope so.

Map markers are built into the mod, informing you where to load, unload, and closeout on each job.

You’ll have to be timely too, as a late delivery could result in deducted payment.

If you do a good job, you’ll be able to climb the delivery driving ranks with payouts scaling the higher ranked you are.

The mod is completely free to download courtesy of NexusMods and has already welcomed some positive early feedback.

“This is such a cool mod,” reads one comment.

“Amazing work,” added another.

Alongside this, a brand new update for Cyberpunk 2077 has landed from CD Projekt RED.

Patch 2.31 is now available, so make sure your copy of the game is up to date; it’s rolled out across PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Mac, and Nintendo Switch 2.

AutoDrive has been updated, making for a much smoother journey where you’ll overtake blocking vehicles and no longer stop at traffic lights.

In Free Roam mode, AutoDrive has also been upgraded to follow traffic rules, making for more reliable navigation.

Photo Mode has also been adjusted.

Poses introduced in Update 2.3 can now be used with any gender, and NPC collision has been disabled.

Outside of this, the patch largely just implements various bug fixes.

You can view the full patch notes now via the official Cyberpunk 2077 blog, and don’t forget to consider giving ‘Dedra’s Truck Simulator’ a whirl.

Night City truly is the gift that keeps on giving.
