Absolutely astonishing that one man did this by himself

One seriously talented individual has managed to remake the entirety of Nintendo’s OG NES game The Legend of Zelda in 3D, but don’t get too ahead of yourselves as it’s not all great news.

CodyCantEatThis is a YouTuber and video game developer who you might know from their equally impressive work on projects such as “I Made Pokemon Red & Blue but it's 3D” and “I Made Super Mario Bros but it's 3D”.

Clearly they weren’t satisfied with tackling just two massive remakes however, as they’ve also turned their attention towards remaking The Legend of Zelda.

Their video on remaking the NES classic is honestly mindboggling, because CodyCantEatThis absolutely breezes through the process of completing remaking the game as if it’s something that they offhandedly produced on a whim.

CodyCantEatThis even published a follow-up video on the project, in which they painstakingly explain how they managed to develop the boss battles featured in The Legend of Zelda.

Everyone in the comments seems as astonished as I am too, as every single one is full of praise for what CodyCantEatThis has managed to pull off.

“It literally took you 2 months to recreate almost the entire legend of Zelda game with voxel art!!! That’s impressive!” commented @CarltonThySecond.

“Really wish Nintendo were easy on fangames so you could release it. Amazing work” posted @Pixelcraftian.

Now here comes the bad news. As incredible as CodyCantEatThis’s work is, you will likely never, ever be able to get your hands on it for yourself.

As we all know by now, Nintendo is ultra-protective of its intellectual properties. As a result, CodyCantEatThis has never published the playable builds of his projects online (probably because he doesn’t want to get sued into financial poverty).

For now, all we can do is marvel at his achievements from afar.

Honestly, Nintendo should just hire this guy and let him publish this stuff on the Nintendo Switch.
