The Witcher 4 teaser hints at last console we expected

This would be pure wizardry!

The Witcher video game series inspired by the Andrzej Sapkowski novels is one of the most popular RPG franchises of all time, which is why fans are eager for news of the fourth numbered entry.

The first game to be released in the popular fantasy RPG series from CD Projekt RED was with The Witcher on PC in 2007. However, it’s fair to say that it’s not the best game from CDPR, even when it first launched, which is why news of The Witcher remake powered by Unreal Engine 5 is such welcomed news.

Check out The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt trailer below!

CDPR has a lot of cooking in the oven right now, not only with The Witcher remake, but The Witcher 4, a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 and more, all of which are expected to be next-gen titles. Yet, it seems that future games from the Polish studio could also be headed to Nintendo.

As reported by Game Rant, a new job listing for a senior compliance QA analyst at CDPR has appeared online that suggests that Nintendo ports could be on the way. It’s perhaps worth keeping in mind that this could be referring to the Nintendo Switch successor and not the current hybrid console.

The job listing in question states that the would-be employee is required to “develop a compliance QA guideline and framework, involving collaboration with outsourced QA partners, tailored to meet the certification standards of diverse platforms,” before listing Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo platforms as well as Apple.

Nintendo hasn't revealed the specs for the Nintendo Switch successor, nor what it will look like or be released, so it’s anyone's guess how well it will run next-gen games. That being said, as we’ve already seen the likes of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Alien: Isolation and Dying Light on the Nintendo Switch, anything is possible, it seems.

We’ll keep you posted when we hear further developments on the Nintendo Switch successor and future titles from CD Projekt RED.
