Pokémon Legends: Z-A Players Can't Miss These Limited-Time Freebies

The first one expires today, so be quick!

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is finally here, and Nintendo are teaming up with an unexpected partner to help dish out some bonus extras for the next few days.

Just make sure you grab the first one as soon as humanly possible, because it expires later on today!

It's been roughly 24 hours since Pokémon Legends: Z-A dropped on both Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch, yet the clock is already ticking on some of the recently announced bonus freebies.

Well, “freebie” might be pushing it, because technically you get it as a bonus for paying for something else… although I’d wager that you were planning to do that already, if said bonus appeals to you in any way.

Speaking of, I can’t be the only one that thinks the choice of starter ‘Mons in Pokémon Legends: Z-A feels a bit random.

Having two of the starters be from Pokémon Silver/Gold and then throwing Tepig from Pokémon Black/White in on top just feels oddly disjointed to me.

I guess the issue was that they needed them to still fill the role of the standard Fire/Water/Grass starters, but that Cyndaquil already featured as a starter ‘Mon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Potentially they could have subbed Totodile or Chikorita out for a different generation of Water/Grass starter, but I’d wager that they wanted to feature the most popular starter Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A to boost the sales numbers.

Well, clearly their strategy worked, because a recently announced collaboration between Twitch and Nintendo, featuring the starters from Pokémon Legends: Z-A, is getting viewers particularly excited.

By gifting a sub or subscribing to any live channel currently streaming the game, until October 21, you'll be able to claim a Chat Badge for either Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile.

The exact time period in which you subscribe relates to the badge you’ll earn however, which means that you have mere hours left until Chikorita’s badge expires permanently.

Unfortunately, if you were hoping to use your Prime sub to claim one of the badges, Twitch specifically states that you can’t use them to earn the Chat Badge rewards this time around.

Just make sure that you keep an eye on the dates so you don’t accidentally redeem a Chat Badge for a rubbish starter (sorry Tepig) and instead earn the respective badge for the best Pokémon Legends: Z-A starter (we all know I mean Totodile).
