Pokémon first Gen 10 'Mon leaks online

Some 'mon confirmed

A new Pokémon leak has revealed the first potential images of Gen 10, sparking a lot of speculation online.

We’re all excited for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, although we’re a little down on the starter ‘mon. But it’s looking like Pokémon fans will be eating well when it releases in October.

But never mind that, we’re also really looking forward to Pokémon Generation 10, which doesn’t have a concrete launch date yet but will probably come in a year or two.

Ahead of that, a new leak has revealed a supposed screenshot from a Gen 10 Pokémon game that is being tested on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Be sure to take all this with a grain of salt, as it’s currently unconfirmed yet where the source comes from. Nonetheless, the leaks have since been shared around various social media platforms by Pokémon fans.

The leak shows a battle environment featuring Aron and its evolution Lairon. According to the rumour, the leaker has also got two more images showcasing Charjabug and Butterfree.

Although it’s not much, this does confirm that Aron, Lairon, and its next final form, Aggron, should be in the next generation game.

If Charjabug and Butterfree are really in the game, that should also confirm Grubbin, Vikavolt, Metapod, and Caterpie will also appear.

Aside from that, we don’t know when Pokémon Generation 10 will launch. Pokémon Legends: Z-A is expected to be the last big Gen 9 game in the series before we move on.

With The Pokémon Company generally taking around three to four years between generations, that probably means we’ll see something confirmed about the next generation shortly after Z-A’s release.

Although we don’t know for sure, it’ll also likely be a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive release, following the cross-generation launch of Z-A.

So Pokémon fans still on Nintendo’s last-gen systems may want to consider upgrading at some point.
