Pokémon fans are in awe of a stunning new release that is a pre-order bonus with the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Yesterday, we were treated to the long-awaited release date for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which was first announced in February 2024.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be set in the France-inspired Kalos region, in Lumiose City, which is inspired by its capital city, Paris.

One of its most topical features is mixing up the gameplay by having real-time combat, and for the first time since Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee! in 2018, it will have Mega Evolutions (no, I’m not counting Pokémon GO!)

Along with the release date announced for Pokémon Legends: Z-A were the aforementioned pre-order incentives.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A comes to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on 16th October!

Register your interest on My Nintendo Store to receive an email when it's available to pre-order.

By pre-ordering the game on the My Nintendo Store, you’ll be gifted with a Partner Pokémon Figure, featuring the three starter Pokémon of the game, Chikorita, Totodile, and Tepig.

There will also be additional Pokémon Legends: Z-A bundles that include a figurine of the Charizard Mega Evolutions, X and Y. You can also nab a pin set, mug and umbrella.

However, at the time of writing, these incentives are not available in some other regions, including the US, and Pokémon fans are understandably not pleased.

“How does one get cool stuff like this in North America?” asked GrayUnova, replying to a tweet from CentroLeaks.

“Only in Europe? No way,” exclaimed Bpaint.

“I really want that umbrella,” said TamzenSW.

“The US is just gonna be some poster,” replied Smuggy30152691 with a crying emoji.

I’ve just checked the My Nintendo Store in the US, and currently, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is not available to pre-order. However, it will appear soon, and I’d be shocked if all those snazzy items weren't available to pre-order in the US.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be released on 16 October 2025 on the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
