Nintendo has just released another round of free downloads for you to check out.

Nintendo Switch Online has many strings to its bow, but the icons are a feature that generally divide gamers – people either love the selection on offer or hate them with a passion.

It’s now time for you to react, as another batch of freebies have arrived.

These NSO icons are Donkey Kong Country Returns HD themed.

As many Nintendo Switch fans are already aware, this is a remastered version of the 2010 Donkey Kong Country Returns.

While I’ve never personally been a fan of the Donkey Kong series, GAMINGbible’s Sam Cawley speaks highly of this remastered classic. In their review, they speak of the “banana hoard of improvements”.

If you feel the same way, or are preparing to play the new game, what better time than now to alter your Nintendo Switch profile to match your game choice.

In typical fashion, there’s an ample selection of icons to choose from, including new backgrounds and themed borders.

The cost of each icon is between 5 and 10 Platinum points, depending on what you choose, with Platinum points being Nintendo's free rewards currency.

Even though no deadline is given for when these NSO downloads will be removed, we would assume in a couple of weeks or so.

This should give you more than enough time to claim your favourites, should you find anything of interest on offer.

If you don't appreciate these freebies, NSO will soon update its selection. There's always the possibility of returning to old favourites, or Nintendo might introduce a brand new batch of icons. It’s difficult to work out which way the pendulum will swing.

Donkey Kong fans, now is your time to show your love for the big primate.
