Nintendo Switch 2 fully revealed, just not by Nintendo

If you're curious about what the Switch 2 looks like, these third-party manufacturers are already on the case (wink wink)

The has got to be the most leaked console in history, because, according to one third-party manufacturer, we now know exactly what it looks like.

Actually, scratch that, it’s not just “one” third-party manufacturer. They’re all coming out of the woodwork at this point, following the first leak from “Dbrand” last weekend.

Donkey Kong Country returns! (again), check out the trailer for the new remaster below

Dbrand’s leak came in the form of a Tweet titled “We will not be answering any questions at this time”, which was an advertisement for their upcoming “Switch 2 Killswitch” case.

As you can see, that’s one highly detailed-looking “Switch 2” they’ve got on their site. And assumedly, if they’re already advertising a case for the device, they must feel pretty confident that the case they’re producing is a one-to-one facsimile of the real thing.

Turns out that’s exactly the case, as Dbrand’s CEO Adam Ijaz told Insider Gaming's Mike Straw that “the actual design of the Nintendo Switch 2 is what’s in the case in the animations.”

They’re clearly not bluffing either, as several third-party manufacturers have followed suit and released their own pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 accessories.

Twitter leaker @necrolipe recently revealed that a few different Chinese manufacturers have released images of similar Nintendo Switch 2 cases, and their designs do match up with Dbrand’s mock-ups of the device.

How is any of this possible then? How do these third-party manufacturers have access to this information ahead of time?

Well that’s probably because Nintendo are doing a bloody awful job at keeping any of the Nintendo Switch 2’s info from leaking, especially because they accidentally leaked some info regarding the device themselves last week.

We’ll likely see a lot more info cropping up before Nintendo officially reveals the device sometime in the first quarter of 2025, as the most important info (the hardware specs) is still a mystery at this point.
