One of the more interesting features of the Nintendo Switch 2 is the accessibility features, which allow for players to remap the buttons of the device to suit their play style or needs.

Many are using the option to change around certain actions, but this setting allows you to completely remove another feature which Switch 2 players might find useful.

As reported on Reddit, you can actually change the function of the ‘C’ button on the right Joy Con, which usually brings up Game Chat.

If you don’t find yourself wanting to use the Game Chat feature, as many have voiced since the reveal of the button, then you can head into the settings and change what the button does.

To do this, navigate to the accessibility section of the options, and you’ll find the layout of each Joy Con.

Here, you can replace the ‘C’ button function with any other within the system.

“Great idea! I'm surprised I didn't think of that, when I saw the option to remap buttons. Thank you!” commented one grateful fan.

“I just turned mine into a capture button,” replied Takonline.

The ability to do this, and remap other buttons on the fly, has become a prime feature that everybody loves.

While the ‘C’ button might be helpful to some, others have complained that it’s too close to the ‘Home’ button, which creates accidental presses.

This setting fixes that, as one Redditor notes, “within half an hour I’d pressed it twice by accident trying to hit home. So now it’s an extra home button.”

“I’m gonna remap it to capture, so I have one on both controllers,” replied another Redditor with a pretty great suggestion.

I’ll admit, I hadn’t really thought of remapping it myself, but as I’ll never use Game Chat, I’ll be following the lead here.
