One Nintendo Switch 2 user may have just found the silliest use for the system yet, and it’s all thanks to the oddly specific placement of one of the console’s USB ports.
It’s been pretty warm in the UK recently. I’m sure if I told you exactly how warm it’s been, a bunch of you would immediately pipe up with some asinine rubbish like “oh that’s nothing, it’s 753°C here at the moment!”
Well, good for you, but we’re not built for this over here. I’m pretty sure anything I wrote last week has more grammar and spelling mistakes in it than your average blue checkmarked Twitter post.
That’s why one user over on Reddit (via GamesRadar+'s Tabitha Baker) found a rather handy use for their Nintendo Switch 2 that I am extremely jealous of, and it’s all thanks to Nintendo’s decision to stick a USB port on the top of the console.

As user Gamingjojo909 discovered over on the r/NintendoSwitch subreddit, the placement of said USB port makes it perfect for slotting in a little USB-powered fan. You know, the cheap little ones you can find online for like £5, that look about as effective as asking one of your mates to blow air in your face.
Alright, I’m just being sour out of jealousy, because even I have to admit that this is kind of genius.
You’re literally pointing the Nintendo Switch 2 directly at your face every time you use it undocked, and having it situated right at the top of the console makes it feel like a borderline intentional design choice.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Nintendo see this and decides to jump in on the craze by producing a branded USB fan of their own.

Oh my god, they could make one for The Legend of Zelda: Wind Wake– never mind, someone in the comments already made that joke.
