Nintendo Switch users have lost one of their upcoming games, following a devastating delay to a highly anticipated RPG.

Nintendo have some bangers cooking for the rest of the year, with fans most excited for Mario & Luigi: Brothership and The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom the most.

However while there’s plenty to look forward to as we head to the end of 2024, a delay has come along to ruin some of the fun.

Nintendo recently made the announcement that Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time, which was supposed to launch on 10 October this year, has been delayed to 2025.

No other details aside from the delay were shared, with Nintendo rounding off the announcement by saying “More information about the new release date will be announced in the future. Thank you for your patience.”

This now places Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time amidst the likes of Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond for Nintendo’s 2025 release roster.

While this only affects a small minority of Nintendo fans, many were disappointed by the delay, with one user perfectly summarising their feelings by saying “I've never been this hurt by a tweet before.”

“Weird of Nintendo to announce this rather than level 5, not surprising that it happened though” added another.

Although some fans actually commended the decision to delay, with one saying they’d rather have “a delayed game than a rushed game.”

For those who don’t know what Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time is a city–building game that gives you control of a beautiful island you can customise at will.

You can also use time travel abilities to shift between the past and the present, an important tool in discovering the secrets of the island.

Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time will launch sometime in 2025 for Nintendo Switch, with an exact release date not given yet.
