Legend Of Zelda: Wind Waker 4K Unofficial Remaster Is Stunning

We have waited so long for this

First released way back in 2002 for the GameCube, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker was met with critical acclaim for its visuals, gameplay, level design, music and story so it is no wonder that fans still praise the Nintendo release to this day.

As a whole, The Legend of Zelda franchise is one of the most successful in gaming despite it being almost 30-years since many of its entries were first released.

Nevertheless, fans are still calling out for 4K remasters and although Nintendo is still refusing to budge, it seems as though creators are left to pick up the slack.

As such, Henriko Magnifico Showcase on Youtube has done just that by releasing a video which shows us what The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker looks like at 4K.

Consisting of just over 2-minutes of footage, we can see that The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD from 2013 has come quite a long way thanks to the addition of a 4K texture pack.

With The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker also recently being rereleased as a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2 as part of its Nintendo Classics collection, it makes sense that many of us are currently feeling all of the nostalgia when it comes to this early 2000s release.

So what better way to treat that nostalgia than by taking a look at what the game could look like if Nintendo ever worked on a 4K remaster?

We can see Link and friends get up to all of their usual exploits by exploring and taking down enemies and with its cel-shading artstyle, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker has never looked better.

And it seems as though fans agree.

“Why does this amazing trailer give me the same vibes from when I saw that first Wind Waker teaser video as a kid?” The top comment reads.

“Such a great in between for the original and the HD remaster. Killed it,” another comment reads.

With fans praising the trailer’s vibrancy, nod to the original and overall work, it seems as though the calls for an official 4K remaster are about to get a whole lot louder.
