The Legend of Zelda fans are hyped following an unexpected tease for the return of Twilight Princess but could it mean nothing?

Originally released in 2006 on the Nintendo Wii and GameCube, according to Metacritic, with a score of 95, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is considered to be one of the best games in the beloved series.

“You play as Link, a farm hand who is chosen by the gods to free the kingdom of Hyrule from the clutches of the King of Shadows, Zant, who has cursed the land with a perpetual twilight,” reads the synopsis of the game.

“To help him take on this new menace and break the curse that has transformed him into a wolf, Link will team up with the mysterious and mischievous Midna, a creature from a corrupted dimension called the Twilight Realm.”

Despite releasing as an HD remaster in 2016 for the Nintendo Wii U, fans have been calling for another modern remaster of Twilight Princess for the Switch for many years. Whether that happens or not, remains to be seen.

Recently, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker was announced in the new library of GameCube games for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, so perhaps there is a glimmer of hope.

However, fans were unexpectedly teased that a new remaster could happen one day after gorgeous stained glass windows were spotted at the Nintendo Store located at Celestial Park, Universal Orlando.

Interestingly, rather than using designs from more recent entries in The Legend of Zelda series such as Tears of the Kingdom or Echoes of Wisdom, the stained glass windows instead used artwork inspired by Twilight Princess.

“Why are they still using the Twilight Princess designs,” said Zeebor15 replying to a tweet from Inside Universal.

“We will never escape Twilight Princess,” replied a tormented CoasterPup.

“Guys, it's happening,” announced an optimistic amer34Ultimate.

I would love nothing more than Twilight Princess to be announced for the Nintendo Switch. Sadly, just like The Wind Waker, perhaps the best we can hope for is the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
