If you ask me, The Legend of Zelda fans are feasting pretty well at the moment.
Certainly, a new mainline entry is likely several years off, but there’s plenty to keep us busy in the meantime.
Lead casting has been announced for the upcoming live-action film adaptation and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is on the way, supposedly releasing before the end of this year.
Alongside this, fans are continuing to express their hopes for the franchise, with many wishing for remasters or remakes of classic entries of yesteryear.

The Wind Waker, Ocarina and Time, and Majora’s Mask are amongst those in demand and while nothing official is on the cards, I can direct your attention towards a wonderful fan remake of the latter game.
YouTuber Benoit Bourgerie has uploaded a snippet of what Majora’s Mask might look like reimagined in Unreal Engine 5 and the end result is a sight to behold.
“I spent over a year recreating Clock Town and the Termina field in Unreal Engine 5. This is a fan project done for fun, practice, and to pay homage to one of my favourite games ever. I hope you enjoy the result,” the creator wrote.
Take a look for yourself below.
While, naturally, this is unlikely to ever be readily playable, it’s a charming glimpse at what could be - and one that’s certainly left me wanting more.

I’m not the only one who’s impressed.
“This makes Clock Town feel so lived in, it’s gorgeous,” one viewer wrote.
“Man, in my opinion, this is one of the best works produced by a Zelda fan. Everything looks 100% accurate. It’s beautiful,” added another.
This little project has made me a little sad that we’re not getting an animated film adaptation of the franchise but I’m going to place my trust in Nintendo and hope that the live-action plan will work out.
