If you’re a big fan of The Lord Of The Rings, you’ll likely have heard of The One Ring RPG, a tabletop game set in J.R.R. Tolkien’s highly-successful fantasy world. It’s like Dungeons and Dragons in the sense that you roll dice, make important decisions and continuously improve your character.

While the game has received numerous expansions over the years, its publisher Free League recently announced what it’s calling the largest expansion yet, Moria - The Long Dark.

The expansion will feature a sourcebook detailing the final decades of Khazad-dûm, before the arrival of the Fellowship of the Ring during the events of the books/films. Players will be able to use the sourcebook to learn more about the lore, as well as use what they learn to create their own adventures and stories.

Moria- The Long Dark will be part of a Kickstarter that launches on the 29th of August, so interested players will be able to sign up and drop some cash to secure their copy when it officially launches.

The Kickstarter is for a physical copy of the sourcebook, though a digital PDF version will be made available to peruse while you wait for your copy to arrive. Free League has also said it plans to make the sourcebook available in retail stores sometime next year.

In other news, an exciting development has occurred over at Magic: The Gathering, which recently launched a Lord Of The Rings collaboration featuring a one-of-a-kind card of the One Ring. After an extensive search, the card has finally been found, being bought by the famous rapper Post Malone for $2 million.
