Hogwarts Legacy Summer update may not be what you wanted

Hogwarts Legacy Summer update may not be what you wanted

Could we be setting ourselves up for disappointment?

Enrolling at Hogwarts seems to be a double edged sword – on the one hand, you get to learn spells and wear robes, on the other hand, you don’t always get access to content you want or expect. The latter issue is arguably the most damning element of Hogwarts Legacy.

There have been so many highs and lows within the Hogwarts Legacy community of late. Fans have had to not only deal with the sequel destined to be unplayable for millions, but also the equally gutting news that the DLC is delayed until summer.

A magical world awaits you in Hogwarts Legacy – will you heed the call?

Which brings us to why the summer update for the wizarding game might not be everything you’ve been hoping for. Quite a few gamers are convinced the summer will bring a wealth of new content to Hogwarts Legacy, fuelled by rumours and hope. However, the voice of reason amongst the optimists are concerned that the update won’t offer anything especially unique or new.

“I don’t think the summer update will be as expansive as the [FandomWire] article believes it to be,” suggested a fan, before explaining what they specifically believe will be announced. Amongst their predictions was the ‘Haunted Hogsmeade’ DLC, content that is technically new for many, but also old considering PlayStation 5 players have had it since launch.

As for anything else, besides maybe a new quest or two, it seems foolhardy to believe the devs have cooked up more for fans. We’d like to be proven wrong, though, especially with how successful the game has been despite its quirks. Fans are so taken by the game, even now, that they can’t understand why it didn’t receive a GOTY nomination.

Until summer is here, all we have to look forward to is more feverish rumours. Unless you count the sequel details that were teased and easily missed. But beyond that, we just have to watch the clock and pray Hogwarts doesn’t let us down.
