Hogwarts Legacy has a few more secrets tucked away in its castle walls, and players are determined to find them all before the next game comes out.

Now there hasn’t been much to report on a sequel, though one is definitely on the cards considering how successful the first game was.

In the meantime there’s still some stuff to do in the game if you’re happy to just roam around and explore, as whether you’re a Harry Potter fan or not there’s usually something to see that you probably missed the first time around.

However today we’re not talking about the cheeky references and attention to detail the developers slipped into the final game, we’re talking about something more…forbidden.

That’s right there are several tricks you can perform to slip your character into out-of-bounds areas, and we’re not talking about the third-floor corridor.

One trick gets the player underneath the map, where it was discovered there are items to pick up underneath the Hogwarts Legacy owlery.

The player who did this captured footage and wondered if “there was once supposed to be something” underneath the area.

In all likelihood there probably wasn’t, it’s likely just marked as an area for Dittany to spawn even though the player would usually never go there. Some developers also keep items out of bounds to test while developing, so it could just be left over remnants that weren’t deleted.

While it wasn’t the most exciting discovery so far it’s cool nonetheless, breaking a game’s boundaries can always provide an insight into what could have been for the game, as well as provide an idea of how it was put together.

If Hogwarts Legacy 2 will expand the game’s world then it’ll be nice to see what new secrets are scattered across the map, as well as things the developers didn’t want us to see.
