A recent Grand Theft Auto VI leak has revealed the enormous scale of the open world, which features over 100 locations to explore.

I think we all knew Grand Theft Auto VI was going to be huge. Grand Theft Auto V was released in 2013 and featured an entire island to explore, only to be followed up by Red Dead Redemption 2 which took place across several states.

Since Grand Theft Auto VI is being built for current-gen hardware, releasing on the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, but at a later date, the expectations on Rockstar’s next open world are only getting higher.

Luckily, a document recently appeared online that houses basically every GTA VI leak in one place, and after taking a look at the leaks involving in-game locations, it looks like the game will include over 100 explorable locations.

The big one is Vice City, which is where most of the story content will likely take place. We’ve seen glimpses of the classic Grand Theft Auto location in leaked gameplay, though it’s typically been a work-in-progress build, meaning we’re yet to see it in all of its glory.

Vice City will include several key locations from its original appearance in GTA: Vice City, as well as some landmarks from Miama, the real-life city it’s based on.

Leaks also point to additional areas featured in the game, like Port Gellhorn, Keys, Sundown, Ambrosia, Redhill and many more.

It’s reported that the ocean will feature some explorable areas as well, with the leaks highlighting Underwater Ruins, an Underwater Research Facility and a Whale Graveyard as locations you’ll find beneath the waves, implying there’ll be some sort of submarine or diving equipment similar to GTA V.

The list of locations is pages long, so if the leaks are credible, Grand Theft Auto VI could give us an open world that takes hundreds of hours to fully explore, likely blowing Red Dead Redemption 2 out of the water in terms of size and scale.

GTA VI will reportedly launch sometime in 2025 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and potentially PC.
