Wastelanders, a major new release for Fallout is coming very soon.

As in, it’s going to arrive next month.

Considering that we’re at the end of August now, you haven’t got long to properly prepare for the trials ahead.

Although the latest update for Fallout 5 is a cause for celebration, this new release is a separate entity to that adventure.

Bethesda’s season 18 for Fallout 76 is due to emerge from its vault on 3 September – that's mere days away, folks.

Not long until Fallout 76: Milepost Zero - Country Road is here

Milepost Zero – Country Roads is crammed full of new items, attire, and weapons to ensure you have everything you need to explore the winding roads of the beautiful but sometimes dangerous countryside.

What is more, alongside the cosmetic additions, there are also double XP weekends as well as public events.

“Very exciting stuff to look forward to!” posted a Twitter user upon seeing the teaser for the new season.

“Love that power armour paint, but [the] highlight for me has to be the wall mounted walkway... gonna add so many possibilities to camp creation!!” remarked doomdealer, another social media user.

On YouTube, one comment read, “Looks good wish I had more camp budget to fit these new items in.”

Despite much positivity surrounding this upcoming release, there are some Fallout fans who feel “underwhelmed”.

Thankfully, there aren’t many days to wait before we can find out first-hand if the trailer lives up to the hype it’s generated thus far.

Predominately, hopes are high.

In the meantime, there are other ways to return to the franchise – like via Fallout: Vault 13, an expansion that’s been hailed as “a dream come true".

While not an official Bethesda release, this fan created mod has revamped the OG Fallout from the ground up.

For anyone looking to leave the ravaged hills of the Wasteland behind for new adventures, Atomfall is a “post-apocalyptic powerhouse packed with potential”.

GAMINGbible’s Kate Harrold previewed the game for us at Gamescom 2024; if you want to learn more, head to that article to find out all the juicy details.

Fallout 76 still has much to offer players, however, there are just as many opportunities outside of its new season if you crave a change of pace.
