It’s fair to say that the Dragon Age series from BioWare is one of the most beloved RPGs in video game history but fans have had to wait a decade for its latest arrival.

The original game in the series was released in 2009 followed by a sequel in 2011, but with it being so long since the release of the last game, Dragon Age: Inquisition in 2014, there will no doubt be BioWare fans who will be experiencing this series for the very first time.

Check out the Dragon Age: The Veilguard reveal trailer below!

Following years of rumours and teases, publisher Electronic Arts revealed Dragon Age: The Veilguard earlier this year and it did not disappoint fans, well, mostly.

It was later confirmed that it would have a departure from the series by not only reducing companions from three to two, but only your main protagonist will be playable.

When EA revealed the first gameplay for Dragon Age: The Veilguard, it also teased that it would be released later this year, though no solid release date was confirmed. Thankfully, developer BioWare teased that that highly anticipated release date will be announced at some point today (at the time of writing).

However, with the internet being the internet and nothing being sacred anymore, the release date has leaked ahead of time. As shared by Twitter user Wario64, the release date trailer was leaked on Streamable announcing the Dragon Age: The Veilguard release date of 31 October 2024.

What’s more, if you were hoping to see new gameplay in the release date trailer, those hopes need to be neutered, because it’s a condensed version of the gameplay revealed in June 2024 into a short 20+ second trailer.

If you’re disappointed by these leaks, then you may at least be pleased to know that BioWare has plenty of Dragon Age goodness for us leading up to the release of The Veilguard. Following the official release date announcement, we’re going to be treated to the PC spec details, companion reveals, developer Q&A, and much more.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
