It looks like one of Xbox’s most controversial exclusive games may finally be setting voyage for PS5 later this year.
Xbox has been in a bit of an unstable position lately, with last month’s leadership shake-up raising some big questions surrounding the future of the platform.
And that’s not to mention other controversies in recent years, such as the Game Pass price hike and cancellation of first-party games in development.
Another move that proved to be divisive among fans was the decision to bring Xbox games to other platforms outside of Microsoft’s ecosystem, including Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5.

It appears that the next title to do this will be Starfield, the 2023 space opera RPG from Bethesda Game Studios.
A new report from Dealabs’ Billbil-kun, who has proven to be a very reliable leaker in the past, suggests that Bethesda will be releasing Starfield on the PlayStation Store on 7 April, 2026. This also lines up with what we’ve heard previously.
According to the leak, pre-orders will start on either 17 March or 18 March, and there’ll be a standard edition and deluxe edition available for the game.

Why Is Starfield Bethesda's Most Controversial Game?
Starfield has proven to be a source of controversy for many years, starting with Bethesda’s decision to keep the game exclusive to Xbox Series X/S and PC as a result of its new Microsoft ownership.
This was unpopular with PlayStation gamers who are also big Fallout and The Elder Scrolls fans, who were upset they could not play Bethesda’s latest title on their games console of choice.
After the game’s release, many players were disappointed that the game didn’t quite hit the same highs as Bethesda’s previous open-world RPGs.
Starfield’s open world was accused of being boring, with a huge lack of things to see or do, and its storytelling was also criticised.
On the whole, many felt that it was a huge step down from games like Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
I played through the entirety of the game at launch and it was fine, though I must admit it didn't give me that urge to keep playing in the same way Bethesda's other games do.
If the report from Billbil-kun is true, it’s likely that we’ll hear more updates on Starfield later this month, including the rumoured second expansion and gameplay overhaul update.
