A stunning crossover of Call Of Duty, Cyberpunk 2077 and a bit of Max Payne can be played for free right now via a new demo.

Free demos are always a good thing to have, and if you’re a fan of first-person-shooters with some quirky game mechanics thrown in, you’ll love Out Of Action.

Take a look at the trailer for Out Of Action below.

To put it simply, Out Of Action is an upcoming shooter you can check out on Steam right now. It boasts a world similar to Cyberpunk 2077, but it honestly looks like a darker version of Jet Set Radio given its art style.

Players will take part in “brutal action combat” using “fluid movement” as well as master the art of time control. If you’ve ever played the Max Payne games, it’s a lot like that, as you’re given the ability to slow time to a crawl. Bullets go floating through the air at reduced speed meaning you can line up your shots easier and easily dodge incoming fire provided you’re on your toes.

The description also says the game won’t skimp on the gore and dismemberment, which is great news for those who love a game like Doom.

Overall, the game looks stellar, so it’s a shame it’s not released yet. Its Steam page states that it’s planned for launch sometime in Q4 2024 for PC, though hopefully further down the line we get a port for Xbox and PlayStation platforms.

If you’re interested in trying Out Of Action yourself, you’re in luck. A free demo of the game can be downloaded and played right now, and will give you a taste of the movement and shooting before the official release.

This is definitely one to add to your Steam wishlist, especially if you’re looking for a new shooter to play in your spare time.
