Assassin's Creed fans agree Ezio trilogy is the pinnacle of the series

Assassin’s Creed fans say Ezio’s journey is the pinnacle of the series, further cementing him as the best protagonist in the series.

Ezio is a video game character who needs no introduction. Even if you haven’t played the Assassin’s Creed games you’ll know exactly who he is as he’s been the poster boy of Ubisoft's flagship franchise for several years now.

Fans have such an emotional connection to the character that they’ve voted him the best video game protagonist ever in multiple polls, and some have even gone as far as to name their newborn children after the legendary assassin.

With that in mind his journey from Assassin’s Creed II to Assassin’s Creed Revelations is being hailed as the all-time peak of the series by growabrain– on Reddit, and players couldn’t agree more.

In a post the user proclaimed: “Replaying the Ezio Trilogy as an adult made me appreciate Ezio so much more.” They went on to say they’d “always loved the character” and felt like his role of “strategist, financier and mentor” is always under-appreciated when talking about him.

Unsurprisingly others agreed, and with an outpouring of love for the character in addition to admiration for the several games he’s starred in, often described as some of the best work Ubisoft has ever done.

It’s unclear if we’ll ever see Ezio in a new game, as his most recent appearance was the spin-off VR game Assassin’s Creed Nexus. If he was to return though either as a protagonist or as a mentor, the internet might let out a simultaneous scream of joy.
