We need to have a chat about Assassin’s Creed III. It wasn’t a discussion we were initially going to partake in, but since fans are so passionate about the topic, it feels only fair to air their arguments for why it’s a game deserving of respect.

Assassin’s Creed fans spend a lot of time singing the praises of Edward Kenway or the beauty of AC Valhalla, but few of them take the time to give credit to Assassin’s Creed III. One player thinks it’s about time we changed that, and they’ve provided a 10 point “presentation” on the matter.

Let's give Connor and Assassin's Creed III the credit it deserves right now, and watch the trailer

To keep this article nice and snappy, we’re not going to reiterate every point. However, the main takeaways are how rich in personality this Ubisoft character is, and how “great” the story arcs are. “I love Connor’s character, personality, and story arc more than any other character in the entire series,” posted the OP.

“He handled his trauma like an absolute boss. He knows what it’s like to experience tragedy, suffering, pain, and heartbreak. He’s a strong, silent type. He’s a lone wolf. He’s stoic, intelligent, noble, persevering, driven, humble, loyal, and empathetic. He’s been a badass since he was a little kid.”

Although not everyone agrees quite so vehemently, they believe the game was a “breath of fresh air”. “I’ll say this for AC3 – the soundtrack rocks hard. After so many iterations of Ezio’s Family (which I like, but it was done to death at that point), it was such a breath of fresh air.”

Others also seconded how “hard” the soundtrack goes, while adding that it "always reminds” them of Connor. It’s not quite the feedback the OP was hoping for, but it does (kind of) prove their point: Assassin’s Creed III has many facets that should be praised more than they currently are.
