YouTuber and animator TeaserPlay has blessed our eyeballs with an Unreal Engine 5 concept of what an open world Peaky Blinders game would look like, and cor, we can feel the angst from here.
It's worth pointing out now that there is a Peaky Blinders game, titled Peaky Blinders: Mastermind and it came out two years ago. However, this is a strategy and puzzle game that pits the player against the clock to resolve the crimes with different members of the Shelby family with their own abilities on offer. TeaserPlay re-envisions the streets of Birmingham as an expansive open world showing off London, Charlie Strong's scrapyard in Small Heath, warehouses lit by lamplight and what looks to be a gloomy graveyard and mausoleum.
Check out the final scene of the show which magnificently refers to the very first episode of the iconic drama:
"We need this game, i need this game, the whole world needs this game," said one commenter. "I so need an open world Peaky Blinders game with the original cast, I’d f*cking die," added another. TeaserPlay's work does do the show so much justice, but bear with me while I suggest a different perspective on a Peaky Blinders game.

Given that the majority of the nerve-shredding tension of the show is the unpredictability of the characters and the high stakes heists, a narrative game might be the best shot. Something along the lines of Telltale Games' library or Detroit: Become Human, borrowing these games' mixture of choices and action to let the player carve out their own path. Use this art direction that's been achieved by TeaserPlay, absolutely, but it might be much more in line with the experience of watching Peaky Blinders and the shock of seeing your choices either go off without a hitch or blow up in your face.
