'Portal Reloaded' Adds A Third Portal For Seriously Mind-Bending Puzzles

'Portal Reloaded' looks like what 'Portal 3' should be

Portal 2 is one of the best puzzle games ever made, no doubt about it. The writing is hilarious, the puzzles are just the right amount of difficult, and the facility Chel is stuck in is a joy to run around. As brilliant as it is, unfortunately, it's a little too memorable. After you play the game once, the replay value isn't great because you're not sitting there with a furrowed brow for an hour over one level. So if you want to go back to the game, why not try it again but with some time manipulation and a third portal?

Portal Reloaded is a new mod for Portal 2 that will do just that. The mod will alter the game so that there are new puzzles and a new square portal that will allow the player to travel to an alternative version of the level they're in. Hopping back and forth between the worlds will be essential to succeeding in the game and let us tell you, the video boggles the mind.

In the example shown off by the trailer, you can absolutely see the potential for how hard the conundrums will get in Portal Reloaded. Just trying to work out gravity in one universe is hard enough without adding another dimension.

First spotted by DSOG, this game will have 25 new puzzles to work out, and an original soundtrack to accompany the adventure with new protagonist Test Subject 4509. The description of Portal Reloaded says they're awoken from stasis much like Chel, before they're instructed to do a special test course. "Within the depths of Aperture Science, secluded from the rest of the facility, lies a previously unknown and long-forgotten testing track." Curious.

If you want to try out this potentially incredible game, it will be available April 19 2021, and here is the Steam page to wishlist it.
