If there is one thing No Man’s Sky is going to offer, it’s a free update and things are no different with its upcoming Voyagers update.

First released way back in 2016, No Man’s Sky is unrecognisable from how it looked during its first steps onto the PlayStation 4 and PC.

Thanks to mixed reviews on launch, the small team at Hello Games made it their mission to make No Man’s Sky better than ever thanks to multiple patches and updates and now almost 10-years on and it is widely regarded as one of the best open-world sci-fi games of all time.

Now to make it bigger than ever before, Hello Games has announced No Man’s Sky Voyagers update which is described as its biggest yet.

Better yet? It is completely free.

The Voyagers update comes alongside space walking, new missions, sky diving, new spacesuits, graphical improvements, new expeditions, and even more excitingly, the ability to build and customise your ships with friends.

“What if you could build your own ship? If you could get up and walk around mid-flight?” The developer trailer asked.

“Build a crew of friends and adventure together.”

This brand-new No Man’s Sky update pushes the limits of the game’s multiplayer by allowing friends to come together and design their very own ship, each putting their own stamp on it as it travels throughout space.

Unlike bases, your ship is your most important ally and one which you travel everywhere in and so putting your own stamp on it, with friends, is an incredible new feature.

“Building your own ship, decorating it with friends, your own space that you share together, everyone with their own role, feels really special,” Hello Games explains.

No Man’s Sky is available to play on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 right now with its Voyagers update free to download.
