New Silent Hill Game Shows Up In Korea, Titled 'The Short Message'

New Silent Hill Game Shows Up In Korea, Titled 'The Short Message'

A new Silent Hill game has officially been rated, suggesting that the recent leaks may be real.

Someone really needs to put us out of our misery. For months now, numerous leaks have hinted towards the existence of several new Silent Hill games. Just a few weeks ago, leaked footage revealed what certainly looked like a Silent Hill 2 remake which is thought to be in the works at Bloober Team. It’s also believed that a franchise reboot is on the way, but little else is known about this except that it could be set in the UK. The problem is, nothing has been confirmed but today, more fuel has been added to the fire.

Take a look at the trailer for upcoming horror Slitterhead, created by Silent Hill developer Keiichiro Toyama.

A new Silent Hill game has seemingly shown up in Korea. The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea has officially rated Silent Hill: The Short Message. If you’re thinking, ‘I’ve never heard of that,’ it’s because the game is unannounced.

As reported by Gematsu, the publisher is listed as UNIANA who is a regular publisher of Konami in Korea. This surely confirms the existence of a new game, after the months of ‘what ifs’ and ‘maybes’ that we’ve been subjected to.

As always, take all of this with a pinch of salt until anything is officially confirmed by Konami, but this all looks very promising.
